Course Details

Saturday August 8, 2-6pm in Angel

Spend an intensely enjoyable Saturday afternoon immersed in a different reality (followed by a drink at The Three Johns).

Arrive with your lines learnt as best you can and step into the drama of somebody else’s life through an excellent scene from stage or screen.

You’ll be guided through building a character, encouraged to make bold choices, and given plenty time and space to fully inhabit your character. There’ll be no pressure to “perform” – the emphasis will be on connection, play, and exploration.

Alongside a fun and altogether well-spent afternoon, you may also:

– Connect to parts of yourself you don’t often connect to
– Explore emotion through the safe framework of a writer’s words
– Learn how to use your own experiences, imagination, and instincts to bring a character to life
– Build confidence and greater awareness of how you present to the world
– Deepen your trust in your spontaneity, creativity, and imagination.

To ensure everyone gets plenty of time on their feet, the workshop is limited to 12 participants.
